Before you go, please enjoy this beautiful spring poem…
I Waited for the Warmth
by “Brannon”
I waited for the warmth
For the seasons to bring
To stare out at the fields
Of yellow buttercup and green
Waiting for the sun
To drape over my yearning face
For the soft wind to close my eyes
And troubles to erase
I waited for the flowers
To bloom around the bank
The river a little lighter
Where all my sorrows sank
Waiting eagerly
In my folding chair
Mind allowed to wander
Time passing without care
Grass is getting greener
Life buzzing about my feet
Momentarily free
Happiness complete
I waited for the warmth
Agonized for so long
Enjoyed for a short time
Until once more it’s gone.
